Chakra is Sanskrit for “wheel of light”. The Chakras are energy Centres, like spinning vortexes, which conduct electromagnetic energy. There are 7 main Chakras or energy Centres in the subtle body along the spine located from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. There are 122 smaller Chakras throughout the body. Each of the seven Chakras in the subtle body is recognized as a concentrated point of life force, relating to physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energies. They are a network through which the body, mind and spirit interact. The first 3 Chakras deal with the physical, emotional and intellectual realms. The last four focus on the spiritual planes.
Why Chakra Balancing?
Each chakra relates to specific organs, to different behavior and psyche.
A person is in absolute balance when all the chakras are open and free to rotate at their own speed. When one chakra is blocked, the other Chakras begin to compensate and either become overactive or under-active. Chakra Balancing is the goal pursued when working with Chakras. When we have a physical issue, it creates weakness in our emotional behavior. When we release the stale energy from the body, it can undo any tightness, stiffness, or malfunction of that area. The clearing of the energy can also balance our emotional state of mind. The Chakra Mind-Body Balance is a two-way street: if there are certain fears and emotions we are holding on to, we experience physical restrictions, too.
Small Sound Bath
This can be done individually or for the whole family as a way to uplift, strengthen basic trust, self-love, balance, enhance confidence and create a safe space. Focusing on different intentions, starting the day positively, accompanying family member through cancer, welcoming of a new baby, etc.
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures that are held for longer periods of time (3-5 minutes). Singing bowls are used to accompany and induce deep states of meditation, relaxation, and profound levels of healing. This involves sounding the bowls while they are suspended above different energy centres of the body or placing them directly on participant’s bodies. Tiziana has completed the Emily Hess Sound and Yoga and will go around during the Yin class placing the bowls accordingly and supporting the different Asanas. The deep vibrations and energy of the Tibetan Singing Bowls will deepen and enhance the effects of the asana. Tibetan Bowls sound is an extremely powerful and non-intrusive method to release stress and reduce physical pain. You will be sure to leave feeling completely at ease. Be bathed in the beautiful sound with Tibetan singing bowls on and around your body, combined with a series of yin postures to open fascia tissue and release stored emotions in the body. Developed by Emily Hess, Peter Hess Institute Germany.
“To move to the sound of sound bowls, gongs, and mantras, gently listening to oneself, is a profound encounter with one’s deepest self” quote Emily Hess.
